The JLA FrenchCurve, JL Anthony’s newest foray into high-design drapery hardware is here.
When the designers met to discuss recent trends in profiles (finials? mitre returns? Svelte dados?) it was clear that more modern designs were looking for a statement look for their window hardware from industry partners.
We have already seen trends sway between finials (modern and traditional) and the mitered return over the last five years, and certainly Svelte has taken off as a simpler, statement array, but was there something more we could offer?
The JLA artisans went to work, playing with both elaborate and minimal designs. An idea from the “curves and corners” camp eventually won out, proposing a curved return for the custom hardware that mimicked a mitre return dimension but did so with a smooth, concise 90° arc.
Voilà! The JLA FrenchCurve was born.
Now in its first (of many) installation, the design is a true delight and seems as though it has been around for longer. The first project dictated a custom antiqued gold finish for the room design, but the FrenchCurve will be available in any of the JLA standard finishes with custom work quoted upon request.
And for what it’s worth, JLA’s expertise in making the many cuts and splices required for curved designs means your hardware has a seamless curve and lithe appearance when mounted. And, as with our other poles and returns, this item can be configured for many traversing options (including motorization) for draperies of all weights and window widths.
We invite you to inquire about this new product in our drapery hardware line. The FrenchCurve is both sleek and inventive and will surely complement a room or whole house project for your clients.
